Description
Little Bear Stories is a collection of 12 children’s stories, some of which were told to the author’s wife by her grandfather, who was a member of the Colville Indian Tribe.
The back cover reads: “For a bear cub growing up, the world holds mystery, beauty and danger. There are woods, meadows, mountains and streams, and those who live there may be friends, enemies or strangers. Little Bear loves to explore the woods. He chases butterflies and plays hide and seek with raven. He rides an otter’s water-slide, gets scolded by an eagle and frightened by a cougar. He meets a boy who becomes his friend. They learn the world is rich, lovely and strange. Little Bear invites you to learn too. Come join him and see.”
