Description
Caught in the chaos of World War II Hungary, a teenaged Ladd Arnoti is involved in air raids, rescue operations, and finds a way to evacuate himself and his mother to a Displaced Person’s camp in Germany, but the trip is harrowing. There is a happy ending. Sponsored by the Sisters of St. Gertrude, Ladd emigrated to Cottonwood, Idaho in 1950, where he became the town’s photographer and mayor.
