Sister Evangela then translates and renders Gertrude’s often rhetorical and convoluted Latin prose into simplified, pleasing, and faithful descriptions of the experience.
Concluding each chapter is a series of questions, topics for meditation, and prayers for personal reflection as readers discover anew Gertrude’s message for today.
