This book was published as a non-profit endeavor. Its purpose is to preserve as much information and as many stories as possible about the early Pioneer Schools in Idaho County from the 1860’s to the 1950’s.  The stories are arranged by area so schools that were near you are together and simple to find. Much of the factual information came from the archives at the District #241 Office in Grangeville. Stories came from the teachers, students and parents who experienced the flavor of daily life in early Idaho County Schools.
